TEKS BASED LESSON PLANS

History Comes Alive – TEKS Based Educational Programs

This material is designed to maximize the return your students realize from a visit to the National Museum of the Pacific War. The museum offers two types of school tours (Self-Guided and Living History), TEKS based lesson plans, Symposia and Teacher Orientation.

The lesson plans below are linked to specific TEKS from Chapter 113, Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for Social Studies. The links to the appropriate grade level cross reference the supported TEKS by grade and lesson plan. Many lesson plans to support the new exhibit area are under construction and will be posted as available. Please check the site regularly for new updates.

Since tours are self-guided, you will need to download the Site map and the George Bush Gallery map to support your visit. Each lesson plan will identify which areas within those maps relate to that lesson plan.
