History Comes Alive – TEKS Based Educational Programs

SYMPOSIA SERIES

Each year since 1988 the museum hosts a major symposium on a facet of the Pacific War. Previous symposia have highlighted the attack on Pearl Harbor, the battle for Guadalcanal, the treatment of POWs, air operations, amphibious operations, the decision to drop the atomic bomb and many other fascinating elements of the Pacific War. Each program brings together veterans from both sides who were there with prominent historians to shed light and insight on these significant topics.

  • Saint Edwards University offers Continuing Education Credit for attendance at the symposia.
  • All students with a valid student identification receive free admission. Students must register for the symposium to receive free admission.

For more information, contact Helen McDonald at (830)997-4379 ext. 228. For reservations, contact the Admiral Nimitz Foundation at (830)997-8600.
